The Chaos of Too Many Projects:

The Chaos of Too Many Projects: My Journey to Solving the Problem

There was this point, not too long ago, when I felt like I was drowning in projects. I had multiple clients, each with their own demands, deadlines, and quirks. I’d sit at my computer with a thousand tabs open—mentally juggling what needed to be done, what was overdue, and what could wait. It was chaos. Absolute chaos.

The Struggle to Keep Up: Sticky Notes and Scrambled Emails

I tried to keep track. I’d scribble notes on paper, make lists on my phone, and even had a whiteboard full of half-finished tasks. Every project had a different priority, and every client had a different way of receiving files. I was emailing files, texting links, handing over hard drives—no consistency, no sanity. Everything felt scattered, and so was my mind.

The stress of juggling all this left me exhausted. I didn’t just need a better way—I needed a lifeline.

Discovering Project Management: A Whole New World

I knew I needed help, but I didn’t even know where to start. I’d worked in companies that handled projects, but this idea of project management? It was a whole new language. Then, I stumbled upon tools like Asana, ClickUp, and Monday.com. Asana quickly became my favorite. Suddenly, things started to click—I could track my tasks, manage my deadlines, and breathe a little easier.

But there was still a catch: replicating this process for my clients wasn’t as smooth. Some clients had their own systems and would invite me in, but many had nothing. They didn’t even know where to begin, and honestly, neither did I.

The Search for Simplicity: Building My Own Platform

I explored Notion, Airtable, and other platforms, but none of them felt intuitive enough for me—let alone for my clients. That frustration sparked something in me. I wanted to create something that would solve my problem and help others like me—something that was easy, seamless, and didn’t feel like learning calculus.

In 2021, I took the plunge and started building my own platform: VidProject.io. It’s not just another project management tool; it’s my solution to a problem that kept me up at night. Now, I can track everything, share it easily with clients, and even bring someone in to manage the chaos when I need help.

The Bigger Picture: Solving a Growing Problem for Creators

I’m not just doing this for myself. With more creators emerging every day, managing projects is becoming a bigger challenge. There are tools out there like Frame.io, but they’re often aimed at bigger production houses, not the solo creators or the up-and-coming artists who just need a simple, effective way to stay organized.

I’m obsessed with making this work—not just for me, but for every creator out there who feels overwhelmed by the juggle. I want to help that teenage kid starting college who’s got their first few projects and needs to learn how to stay organized early on. I want to be the one who makes the process easy, who takes the mess and turns it into something manageable.

My Mission: Making Life Easier for Creators

I’m far from finished, but I’m not stopping. There’s this calling in me—this drive to prove that I can solve this problem. I’ve built VidProject.io to be the tool I wish I’d had when I started. Easy to use, simple to understand, and perfect for the creator who needs it spelled out like they’re a third-grader.

This is just the beginning. I’m sharing this journey with you because I believe every creator deserves a better way. And if I can make one person’s life easier—if I can make your life easier—then it’s all worth it.

Stay tuned, because I’m just getting started.
